How to Choose Your Cardio

Pick the format you can repeat consistently. Jump rope works well for short intervals when you have enough space and want a simple conditioning tool. Shadow boxing needs no equipment and can combine technique practice with cardio. Beginner HIIT is useful when you prefer short work and rest periods rather than steady-state sessions.

Start with manageable work intervals and enough recovery to keep your movement controlled. You do not need every cardio session to be maximal. Easy walking or cycling can sit alongside harder interval sessions, while strength training can stay on separate days or earlier in the same week.
